BACKEND DEVELOPER – ASP.NET CORE

We’re looking for a Backend Developer to help us build and evolve backend systems that power our VR games, internal tools, and live platforms across the Victoria VR ecosystem.

ABOUT VICTORIA VR

Victoria VR is a scalable AI-powered platform that enables the mass creation of immersive virtual experiences through AI generation. On top of this platform, we develop our own virtual reality games and interactive worlds, along with the backend systems and tools that support them.

We build platforms used for content creation, live operations, and player-facing services, combining VR game development with modern backend and cloud technologies.

Our team works on multiple high-impact projects, focusing on building systems from scratch — not just maintaining legacy solutions. We value practical, maintainable architectures and clear ownership.

One of our flagship projects is Magic Madness VR, a multiplayer VR game available on Steam in early access, alongside a growing ecosystem of internal tools and platforms used across our projects.

YOUR ROLE

As a Backend Developer, you’ll work on server-side systems that support our games and platforms.

You’ll focus primarily on ASP.NET Core–based services and APIs, working closely with frontend developers, game teams, and platform stakeholders.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • is comfortable building backend services in ASP.NET Core
  • understands production-ready backend systems
  • can take ownership of backend components and features
  • enjoys working on live products with real users

TECH STACK

Backend:

  • ASP.NET Core
  • REST APIs
  • Backend services and integrations

Cloud & Infrastructure:

  • Azure (Kubernetes, Event Hub, Postgres, CosmosDB)
  • Cloudflare (DNS, CDN, WAF)

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

  • Designing and implementing backend services and APIs
  • Building systems that support live VR games and internal platforms
  • Integrating backend services with frontend and game clients
  • Working with databases and cloud infrastructure
  • Collaborating with developers, designers, and product stakeholders
  • Improving existing backend systems and helping design new ones

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Strong experience with modern .NET (ASP.NET Core / .NET 7+), C#, and Entity Framework Core
  • Experience building REST APIs and backend services
  • Experience with relational databases, primarily Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience designing and building service-based or microservices-oriented backend architectures

BONUS POINTS / NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure)
  • Knowledge of distributed systems or backend architecture
  • Experience with game development or live-service products
  • Background in startups or product-driven teams
